We source from several local manufacturers subject to your budget, requirements and design ideas. The most cost effective gates are usually faced in closeboard but there are a much wider range of smart finishes, heavier duty framed gates available. We can also finish your gates in a range of oils, stains or paints to the colour/finish of your choice.
The highest grade of Canadian Western Cedar is used for our driveway gates; the natural colour variations and beauty of Cedar along with its strength and natural durability make this a perfect timber for these gates and really make them stand out as a premium product. Smaller gates such as pedestrian gates are made from Scandinavian Pine or Spruce and along with the cedar are sourced from sustainably managed forests.
KJP Fencing always use galvanised gate furniture for long life although black and stainless fittings are also available should you prefer it. On larger gates, we recommend adjustable hinges to allow for the natural movement within the wood over the lifespan of the product. We will advise you on the size of posts required to hang your gates and we can offer a choice of locking options from the simple padlock bolt through to more elaborate and secure key based locks.
